Pipeline companies are eyeing ethanol with interest and attempting to overcome technical and logistic challenges Good Afternoon I am Sarah Gustin thanks for joining us Ethanol will soon be on the move They say it s because of increased demand and government mandates along with the potential of lost gasoline shipments Houston-based Kinder Morgan Energy Partners plans to run a test batch of ethanol this month through its 105-mile-long gasoline pipeline from Tampa to Orlando Florida Lelio says if the tests are successful the pipeline could be transporting ethanol on a commercial scale by year s end Justin Kringstad is the director of the newly formed North Dakota Pipeline Authority He says the agency will support pipeline companies that consider moving ethanol from factories in North Dakota
